Another early morning bus trip and this time I’m visiting Trogir, a small town 30 minutes away from Split. Hidden courtyards, narrow cobblestone alleys and a fortress on the water, along with a laid back vibe welcomes me.
I get lost for a bit in Old Town before venturing to the marina and find a quaint breakfast spot on the water away from traffic and crowds, Garden Trogir. With a view of the water and town I sip my cucumber water and relax.
The heat is sticky and sweltering so I find Saldun Beach . It’s not what I would call a “beach” but a series of rocky platforms with ladders into the sea. I jump in the water feeling immediately refreshed until I accidentally kick a large rock while swimming and lose a toenail 😫. Ouch!
A lunch of mussels at Capo caps off my afternoon before taking the bus back to Split to pack my bags for tomorrow’s flight home. As always, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my travels and I’m not ready to go home, but there will be more adventures ahead.
