I’m up at the crack of dawn (unplanned) and i grab my camera in hopes of capturing some pics of Old Town as the sun rises. The streets are quiet (heaven) except for a few delivery guys and street cleaners. This is my favourite time of day.
I don’t have anything planned for the day and I take a stroll towards Lapad which has me soaked through with sweat, so I decide this plan sucks and head back to Old Town.
Finding a shady spot at a quiet restaurant, I relax with a book until I need to go to Gruz Port where I’ll be boarding The Aurora, my home for the next week. The Aurora is a small ship with just 30 passengers when fully booked and 7 crew members. We’ll be exploring the Dalmatian coast with swim stops at small islands along the way and day trips on the mainland. With this amazing weather, I have a feeling I’ll be spending a lot of time on the sun deck with my book. Im sharing a twin room so here’s hoping my roommate isn’t an asshole🤞🏻(she’s probably hoping the same thing. I’ll do my best to be my most charming and witty self 😁). As it turns out, I have the best possible roommate…me! I get lucky and due to numbers I end up with a room to myself.
There’s 22 passengers, most of them from Australia and most around my age with a few a bit older and a bit younger. Everyone seems really nice and I’m doing my best to remember names.
Our dinner is delicious with Greek salad, fresh caught fish in a light sauce and ice cream for dessert. If I’m eating like this everyday I’m going to need to come up with a workout plan.
