Not much to report today. Very chill morning at Paleochori Beach where I hid in a little cove to escape the chilly North wind. We’re in for more wind the next few days and I’m hoping it will have settled a bit before my ferry back to Athens next week.
I change hotels tomorrow and will be staying closer to the port area which I haven’t explored yet. It’s been very relaxing staying beside the sea and I clued in last night that I haven’t heard an emergency vehicle siren in almost a month. Absolute bliss! At home I’m constantly assailed by noise and have to escape to the woods on my days off for a reprieve. I hadn’t realized how much I had craved the quiet and sounds of nature until being here.
I don’t want to leave Greece!! Have I mentioned that already? There’s still more areas I want to explore, including Crete. Perhaps I should extend my stay🤔
